Daisy Poppy

Daisy Poppy

Here she comes, smiling
wearing flowers in her hair
coloured crown she has
yellow, orange, blue, red

here she is singing
melodies of joyful
her bright eyes
fills the place

hypnotized by the song
as if she were a siren on a shore
will she make us sin, not?
will she forgive our mistakes?

what's her name, someone asks?
Daisy poppy, bloom blaum,
she comes on jumping, like a child
come up the castle, come to your place

flowers grow behind her
follow them, your way home
up the hill, look down to town
a rainbow in the field

colours that shine, flowers that dance
all down to your feets, waves in an ocean
smell the scent coming out the stamen
feed yourself with it nectar, stigma

she is a blossom, cheerful girl
wearing a crown of flowers
she is prima vera, coming to town
from the lights of the castle she comes

follow her way, follow the flowers
them along the river up to the hill
no stones in this path, just roses
just light and smiles, up to the castle.
